This fall, CSBOXLA is proud to offer a Middle School Girls Box Lacrosse League for athletes in 6th through 8th grade. This program is designed to introduce players to the exciting world of box lacrosse through a combination of skills training and structured scrimmages.
Whether you're transitioning from field lacrosse or brand new to the sport, this league provides a fun, fast-paced environment to build confidence, improve fundamentals, and learn the unique strategies of the indoor game.

Q: Who can participate in this league?
A: The league is open to all girls 6th-8th grade, regardless of experience level. Whether you’re new to box or a seasoned field player, there’s something here for you.
Q: Do I need prior box lacrosse experience?
A: Not at all. This league is designed to introduce players to box lacrosse. We’ll focus on teaching the rules, strategies, and skills unique to the indoor game.
Q: What equipment is required?
A: Players will need a women's lacrosse stick although it is recommended that athletes use a boys stick, boys lacrosse style field or box helmet, mouthguard, and indoor or turf shoes. Additional gear includes padded gloves, rib pads, shoulder pads/chest protector and box-style elbow pads.
Q: How is this different from field lacrosse?
A: Box lacrosse is played indoors, in a smaller space with fewer players. The game is faster-paced, more physical, and emphasizes tighter stickwork, quick decision-making, and off-ball movement.
Q: How often are practices and games?
A: Each session includes skill development and scrimmaging. The league typically meets once per week—exact dates and times will be posted once registration opens.
Q: Where will sessions be held?
A: All sessions will take place at SoccerHaus in Colorado Springs, our home facility for box lacrosse programming.
Q: Can players still participate in field lacrosse during this league?
A: Yes! Our league is designed to complement field play and strengthen overall lacrosse skills—not replace your field commitments.
