Parent Code of Conduct
At CSBOXLA, we believe that lacrosse is more than just a game — it’s a tool for building character, community, and lifelong respect. As a parent, guardian, or supporter of a CSBOXLA athlete, you play a vital role in shaping our culture. By participating in our programs, you agree to uphold the following standards:
Be a Positive Representative of Our Community
- Support all athletes, coaches, officials, and families with respect — regardless of team or outcome.
- Celebrate effort, improvement, and sportsmanship as much as results.
- Represent CSBOXLA with class at home and on the road — our behavior reflects on the entire lacrosse community.
Support, Don’t Coach
- Let the coaches coach. Avoid shouting instructions during games or practices.
- Focus on encouragement and effort — help your player grow through challenges.
- Trust the process. Development happens over time through repetition, failure, and learning.
Respect Officials and the Game
- Accept referee decisions as part of the game — no yelling at officials.
- Help us teach athletes to play with integrity and resilience, even when calls don’t go our way.
- Promote a culture of accountability, not blame.
Be Involved, Not Overbearing
- Volunteer, cheer, and help where you can — we are a community-driven organization.
- Ask questions respectfully and through the proper channels when needed.
- Support all players, not just your own.
Help Us Grow the Game with Honor
- Encourage inclusiveness, teamwork, and effort at every level — from youth to adult.
- Model the values we expect from our athletes: commitment, respect, and humility.
- Recognize that we’re building something bigger than wins — we’re building leaders.
By following this code, you help CSBOXLA create a healthy, competitive, and empowering environment for every athlete, coach, and family. Thank you for being a valued part of our mission to grow the game the right way.
